Whats New 2005
Further odes to happiness.
Without wishing to labour the point about the recent
extravaganza in Time magazine dated 17th
January 2005 detailing all the ways you can become
happier or at least less resigned essayist and writer,
the irrepressible American Mimi Harrison mentions
exuberance, the personality state characterized by high
mood and high energy. It encompasses a childlike capacity for joy and playfulness,
which is seemingly endless and doesn’t taper off with
maturity or responsibility.
Exuberant kids are more outgoing, perform better
scholastically and are more creative while exuberant
adults live longer, have better immune systems and are
more decisive. In
case you’re wondering how to become more exuberant you
can rest easy. It’s
in-born.
