Dealing with influenza using
natural therapies
I’m a great believer in utilising natural remedies to
manage a whole range of maladies.
With the current shortage of the influenza
vaccine in the USA and the flu season about to hit there
are natural strategies you can adopt to combat this
virus. I(
have discussed this before on this site but for those
who missed the earlier edition here is the latest take
on this approach. When
you experience the first hint of flu taking hold reduce
your consumption of refined carbohydrates found in
candies, pastries, sweets, chocolates and cakes and
eliminate dairy products, red meat and alcohol.
Certain fruits and vegetables have the power to
boost your immune system and these include garlic,
broccoli, red grapes, carrots, peppers, onions, apples,
blueberries and oranges.
Then you can take the magic combination of
vitamin C, zinc, echinacea, the herb andrographis and a
substance called lactoferrin and you should take these
in high doses for around 3—4 days.
If you are unfamiliar with these locate a
physician or practitioner of natural therapies who is
aawre of this form of treatment.
Although this is not a guaranteed cure I have
found that it works every time and there is scientific
evidence that echinacea, zinc and vitamin C reduce the
duration and intensity of flu symptoms. In other words
you get better quicker.
