Treating Helicobacter Pylori naturally 15-12-2007

Gastritis or inflammation of the stomach is now associated with a bacterium called Helicobacter Pylori.  While conventional medical treatment including antibiotics and acid-suppressing medications are utilised to treat this bug the January 2008 edition of ‘Life extension’ magazine located at www.lef.org has an article with discusses the efficacy of natural remedies for treating this infestation. This includes a substance called zinc-carnosine which not surprisingly is comprised of the mineral zinc together with the antioxidant carnosine combined with the herbs cranberry, licorice and picrorhiza.  There is some evidence that these substances on their own can combat Helicobacter and the wisdom it that when working in tandem these remedies might be even more powerful.  For more information you should be able to locate this article on the web at www.lef.org.
