QUESTION
4: My mother-in-law aged 70 suffers from
Restless Legs Syndrome.
Is there anything that will help this?
She is currently taking a magnesium supplement
but it does not seem to help.
Answer: The
cause of this disorder remains obscure. There is some
evidence that iron deficiency at the cerebral level is
connected with this disorder.
It would be a good idea for your mother-in-law to
have her iron levels assessed and to take fish oil
supplements, which might make iron more accessible to
the brain.
