QUESTION 1:
If you add a lot of hormones to a man's
body- don't you run the risk of his usual
hormone producing organs slowing down further due to not
being needed, resulting in lowered sexual performance?
Answer: This
is a good question.
Hormone treatment should only be contemplated
when your body is not producing enough hormones.
When your body has slowed down as you put it you
may be faced with no other choice.
Sometimes it is possible for your body to
regenerate itself when you commence such a programme.
This can be achieved by taking hormonal boosting
agents such as herbs, vitamins or what is known as
secretagogues, which encourage hormone-producing organs
to improve their output. You may also find that your
body’s own production of hormones increases with
hormone therapies when you take a hormone holiday, which
may be due to the fact that you are re-educating your
body and resensitising your hormonal receptors.
QUESTION 2: My 82 year-old mother and I
have a clear liquid that comes from a knuckle joint; our
joints are now misshaped with the arthritis. What is
this?
Answer:
Chances are this fluid
constitutes inflammation but to find out exactly what it
is it would be a good idea to go to your doctor and have
him send this fluid away to the laboratory for
investigation. Omega-3
fatty acids found in fish and flaxseed oil can reduce
inflammation and is also extremely good for arthritis.
It would be a good idea to reduce your
consumption of red meat and dairy products and replace
this with fish and soy.
Eating fruit and vegetables also helps especially
the green vegetables, onions and garlic.
Cherries and berries are the kinds of fruits,
which may improve your condition.
QUESTION 3: Is a regular fasting
program part of your therapy, and do you see any
advantages in any such program?
What is your opinion of the therapeutic
advantages claimed for fasting?
Answer: I don’t utilise
fasting as this is a difficult regimen to stick to and
I’m also aware that fasting generates a massive amount
of free radical stress, which can make people quite ill.
This sort of programme might work in the setting
of a health retreat where the body can detoxify in an
ideal environment. I would advise anyone undertaking
such an endeavour to take lots of antioxidants and liver
enhancing herbs beforehand as this type of cleansing
protocol will release a multitude of toxins.
QUESTION 4:
Yesterday I went to my local OPSM for new reading
glasses. The optician who checked my eyes says the
pressure is raised in my eyes, more so in the left, and
has sent me on to check for glaucoma.
I have no family history of glaucoma, but do have
elevated blood pressure at present for which I’m not
taking any medication. I am hoping to loose some weight
and see if my BP reduces. I also have a history of
migraines but have not had one for a long while. Would
your Neurazest be of any benefit or can you suggest
something else. It
may not be glaucoma.
I guess the specialist will tell me this week,
but in any case I would like to do something to help
this situation.
Answer: It
is hard to know what to recommend without a diagnosis
but what I can tell you is that Neurazest contains
nutrients, herbs and antioxidants, which certainly help
promote eye health.
As free radical toxins are known to contribute to
the deterioration of visual function it would be worth
taking extra antioxidants in order to protect your eyes.
Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant, which may
help prevent cataracts and this nutrient is known to
improve eyesight in those who suffer from glaucoma.
The herb gingko biloba has the ability to reduce
intraocular pressure and improve the field of vision in
glaucoma patients.
Vitamin B12 deficiency, which is not an uncommon
phenomenon, contributes to visual field defects and
optic atrophy. This
is the deterioration of the nerve that is responsible
for transmitting those impulses that allow us to see. Alpha-lipoic acid, gingko biloba and vitamin B12 are all
found in Neurazest.
QUESTION 5:
I would like to know where I could get hold of
biotic sliver for my wife in order to treat her candida
problem. Is
there anywhere in Australia as it is very expensive to
purchase this product from the USA?
Answer: You can
try a company located on the gold coast called
Naturalhealthdirect. The web address of this company is www.naturalhealthdirect.com.au
I utilise a product called Kolorex which is a
combination of herbs called horopito and aniseed
together with acidophilus/bifidus to treat this
condition and I always treat both partners.
