QUESTION 1:  Is this type of testing available in Melbourne?  I am talking about the $2600.00 tests, if so could you please provide telephone number. I have just finished reading your book, its sensational.  I now take homeopathic hgh made by derma+  Is this the strongest available in this country?

Answer:  Dr Warwick Greville who also has an anti-aging clinic offers this kind of testing.  Growth hormone injections, available on prescription if your growth hormone levels are low are the strongest way to boost this hormone and should be followed with regular monitoring.

QUESTION 2:  A recent scan has found calcified atheromatous plaques in the terminations of both common carotid arteries in the neck.  Do you know of any studies which suggest the condition may be reversed, and what nutrients may help?  In addition to Neurazest I take Omega 3, Vit C,E, Q10, Policosanol and CholexPlus(Pretorius). Also on Cardizem and Atacand Plus.

Answer:  EDTA is a chelating agent, which has the potential to unblock blood vessels and can be administered orally or via the intravenous route.  Unfortunately clinical trials have been less than impressive when evaluating this remedy for alleviating coronary artery blockage but there is a ton of anecdotal evidence, which supports this type of treatment. You have to decide which evidence you choose to believe.

QUESTION 3:   I have been suffering severe indigestion for just over a year or so and 8 months ago underwent blood tests, which showed a slight rise of amylase as well as a scope. Nothing was found during the scope. A few months later on a routine bowel check it came up positive and I then underwent a scope for that which again turned up nil problems. However recently I went back to the specialist with the same severe indigestion and stomach pain.  The amylase was up again slightly as previously however after further blood tests dropped to normal again after 2 weeks.  Another scope was done and this time it showed a completely ulcerated stomach and some of the ulcers had been bleeding. I can’t understand how they cannot be there and then in eight months develop like that.  I don’t drink or smoke and am reasonably careful with what I eat. I now have a prescription for some Pariet 20mg.
Ultrasounds showed normal organs however, lots of apparently harmless cysts on all organs. The specialist is not completely sure if all the pain is caused through these ulcers not what has caused them, and is contemplating a CT scan.  I would like to try and find a way through nutrition and natural medicines to help fight this problem and wonder what has caused them.

Answer:  Before contemplating natural remedies you should discuss all your treatment options with your doctor as a CT scan might be a good idea in the light of the elevated amylase level which comes from your pancreas.  Helicobacter pylori is an organism that leads to stomach ulcers and there are natural treatments for eradicating this bug including the use of vitamin C, acidophilus, mastic gum and an assortment of herbal remedies. However if you already have bleeding ulcers it may be too late to consider this type of approach. Antioxidants such as vitamin E and selenium can help with defective pancreatic function and aloe vera juice and glutamine have the ability to help repair the lining of damaged organs such as your stomach.
