QUESTION 1:
My mother is in the middle of a 16-dose
chemo treatment for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
I am hoping to find the best possible herbal
combo to help in treatment. I have been told to
administer pien tze huang(does this herbal combo help
with ALL cancers..lymphoma especially?
Answer:
I’m afraid I’m not familiar with this
Chinese herbal formula.

QUESTION 2: I’m taking DHEA 10mg and testosterone 25mg troches daily. Would this have any adverse effects on the liver, kidneys
etc?
Answer:
You
should have your levels of these hormones monitored
regularly along with your oestrogen levels, PSA to
assess your prostate, cholesterol including HDL and LDL
cholesterol, lipoprotein (a) as well as your blood count
and liver function panel. In laboratory animals administration of excessive amounts of
DHEA has lead to adverse effects on the liver including
liver cancer but then rats don’t produce much DHEA.
DHEA can also adversely affect your cholesterol
levels including lowering HDL-the good cholesterol and
it can also possibly increase lipoprotein (a) which is
another risk factor for heart disease.
Testosterone needs to be monitored for its
adverse effects on the prostate and blood count levels.

It is wonderful to see that you are starting
at such a young age.

gives you a nice outline of the steps you need to take.
I’m currently writing another book along
similar lines with very specific guidelines for health
and longevity. If
you can find an anti-aging doctor in your country who
carries out the appropriate testing it would be very
useful for you to undergo this kind of assessment to see
how well you are doing and then you could commence the
type of programme that suits your needs.
