QUESTION 1:
Where in USA can the Merck
Product"Neurobion forte N" be purchased?
Answer: This
product is simply a B complex formulation.
I suggest you utilise a search engine such as www.google.com
to source this remedy.
QUESTION 2: Does a sore appear when
a female has a really bad vaginal bacteria infection?
Answer: This
is unusual unless you are talking about a viral
infection such as herpes.
There are also other causes of such lesions. I
suggest you consult with your doctor and have the
appropriate tests.
These would include swabs when the sore is
present.
QUESTION 3: What could cause night sweats in
men and what can I do about it?
Answer: Testosterone deficiency can lead to night
sweats so if your sex drive, energy and vitality are
diminishing then you should have your levels of this
hormone measured via a blood test. Other possibilities
include infections and other hormone imbalances and it
would be a goo idea to have this checked out with your
doctor.
QUESTION
4: I have SLE (lupus) and Sjogren’s
syndrome. Can
you recommend the best supplements to take?
I have just found out about flaxseed oil,
sterolins and C13 from cruciferous vegetables.
This is something I'd like to try, but don't know where
to get the supplements from. Also does flaxseed oil have
sterols and sterolins in it? Affordability is an issue,
as I have not been able to work.
I've noticed information on quercetin and
bromelain, as well as colostrum.
It becomes very confusing, and expensive. Do you
have some suggestions that I could try?
Answer: Phytosterols
have the ability to modulate the immune system, which
can be beneficial in diseases such as lupus.
Flaxseeds are a good source of phytosterols as
are peanuts, rice bran and olives.
It would prudent to consult with a health
professional who can give you some guidance in this area
as food allergy, infection with bugs such as mycoplasma,
leaky gut and heavy metal toxicity have the potential to
upset the immune system which might result in autoimmune
disorders. All of these possibilities can be
investigated with the appropriate tests.
This type of consultation would also allow you to
review the supplements you mention which for the most
part have anti-inflammatory potential.
The hormone DHEA has been used to successfully
manage lupus in a clinical trial.
QUESTION 5: I
have been taking Nexium x3 years for gerd. Is this drug
lethal to my body?
What else can I take? My reflux is severe. I have
questionable Barrett’s.
Answer: While
nexium certainly isn’t lethal it does have the ability
to suppress acid production, which might compromise
protein digestion. In my practice I have often found that reflux is associated
with food allergy/intolerance especially dairy, yeast,
wheat and gluten. There
are tests which you doctor can perform to investigate
this. Natural
remedies such as slippery elm and the herbs marshmallow
and meadowsweet can also be used to manage reflux and
you can explore these with the help of your doctor. As
Barrett’s oesophagitis might be present it would be
highly unwise to stop your current medication without
medical consultation.
